As a hydropower engineer, s/he is responsible for planning, and designing hydro-power structures; preparing technical specifications/requirements of various hydro-power structures; evaluating bids received for construction and carrying out supervision of the physical construction of hydro-power structures. An instrumentation and measurement engineer may be responsible for various duties during the creation and development of instruments, such as drawing, creating prototypes, testing, troubleshooting and installing.
