Ms. Dakshina Shrestha is an esteemed academic leader with a passion for engineering education and a commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in higher education. With over two decades of experience in academia, Ms. Shrestha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as Principal of Sagarmatha  Engineering College and Sagarmatha College of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University Affiliate.

Ms. Shrestha holds an M. Sc. Degree in Engineering Management from Himalayan Institute of Science and Technology, Purbanchal University Affiliate and B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from one of the premier engineering colleges of Bangladesh-Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

Prior to her appointment as Principal, Ms. Shrestha served in various academic leadership roles, including vice principal, Head of Training and Placement Unit, Head of Academic Monitoring Unit, Head of department, Deputy Head of department. Her visionary leadership style emphasizes collaboration, interdisciplinary research, and student-centered initiatives. She is deeply invested in the success and well-being of her students. She actively engages with student organizations, encourages participation in extracurricular activities, and advocates for initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion within the college.

As Principal, Ms. Shrestha is committed to furthering Sagarmatha Engineering College’s reputation as a premier institution for engineering education.
